For ten years now I have worked for the same employer. For the past two years these gorgeous chimney pots have been my view out of the window. In two weeks time I leave my job and how I will miss those familiar sights and sounds.

Whilst we all brace ourselves for some frosty weather, our little bromliad thrives by soaking up the winter sun and the warmth of our central heating.

Now we live somewhere quiet with a lovely open garden I seem to have taken an interest in those little feathered creatures. I have even started letting them into our home.

The twelth day of Christmas has been and gone, but our local town council doesnt seem to have realised. Sssshhh, nobody tell them about the lights left on the trees.

I think the hustle and bustle of Christmas and the prospect of changing jobs has finally caught up with me. What I need is lots of the best medicine of all. That will get me right.

I think I have a slight crush on glass at the moment. Any colour, any kind. The bottle at the front being todays purchase. A purchase that adds a little colour to an otherwise gloomy Monday. Retail therapy rules...
