After a busy week of moving house, and to a new city, 5 minutes of relaxation and calm...

Despite a rather hectic period in my life at the moment I had to find five minutes to share a monumental moment. Today my partner and I completed on our first house together.... hurray!

In the four years since her big sister's first birthday, my baking skills have definately improved. A very good time was had this weekend at my goddaughter's bunny themed first birthday party.

This Easter weekend I was able to get out into the garden. Gorgeous flowers and colours greeted me at every turn.

Its been a rather frantic day, with highs and lows. One definate high was taking delivery of a special little girl's first birthday present. I absolutely love it! The bright packaging alone was enough to bring a rather large smile across my face!

Another gorgeous spring day. It was a shame to have to return to work after a stroll this lunchtime.

An early alarm call means a must have coffee pit stop before work. And, just a little bit of blogging to start off the day correctly.

Even though a snowflake flashed up on the car display this morning, it looks like it may be another gorgeous spring day....

I love the views of the countryside on our drive to work. I just wouldn't like to meet some of wildlife hiding in the trees and fields on our way home.

A beautifully sunny day off work warranted lunch on the Norfolk coast. Pure bliss and how days off were meant to be spent.

Buying a house is said to be stressful but its even more so if one, or both parties, are indecisive....

Every day on my walk from work to the car park I pass this building. An old converted hospital, I often wonder what it would be like to live in the now modernised flats....?

Long days and a fifty mile commute to and from work are making blogging a litle difficult at the moment. Most of my day consists of travelling by car or sitting in an office. Hardly the most inspiring for a blog. Normal service should resume in the not too distant future ...

I feel very lucky today. At 730 this morning I lost a treasured diamond ring in a very large and busy city supermarket car park. At 630 this evening we found the ring lying in the very same parking space we had parked in. Slightly scratched but not damaged in any other way, I have it back. My faith in humanity has been restored, although secretly I like to think my ring would have never left me.

Im always so excited by news of 'themed' celebrations.

So many gorgeous shop windows to gaze into on my way to and from work now, but no time or money to spend in them. But that may just be a secret blessing in disguise!!

When giving up chocolate or starting a new diet a focus or goal is a must! A close friends special black and white themed birthday party is mine. I have the accessories now all I need is the motivation to lose 5lbs to fit in that perfect little black dress.

Ive just remembered that not only is today pancake day but tomorrow is the first day of lent. I have a friend who every year gives up chocolate for lent, and last year I did too. Maybe today I can use it as an excuse for finishing off all the chocolate left over from Christmas, or would that be just naughty?

My first day working in the big city and I am shattered! Starting a new job is always hard going. Im hoping it will only get easier and I quickly feel at home....?

We're never too old for a balloon or two!!

The last two days have been so busy hence the absence of blog entries, but what a pleasure they have been. A fabulously decorated desk for my last couple of days at work, and a very successful tea party which put a smile on many a face. Coffee with friends and a gorgeous afternoon cream tea with a very special friend and her beautiful, fun, daughters.

Now to make up for a missed post yesterday I will attempt a double posting... It was my last Friday in the office and things seem to be getting done. My desk draws are slowly emptying, the files are finding new homes, my emails gradually clearing. I cling on to my trinkets though as while Im there I cant bare to lose the familiarity. Only two more days!

While at home all is calm and stays frozen in time, quite literally. The back garden remains untouched since the weekend's snowfall.

No rants today. My energies are being positively thrown into organising myself a leaving tea party for my penultimate day at work; think cucumber sandwiches and cupcakes galore!! Do join us if you are passing x

I feel a little blue today so I'm going to have a rant. "I'm so over wellies". Ah, that's better. I hope you're all having a good Tuesday?

The snow fell quite heavily on Norfolk this weekend and all I wanted to do was curl up with a cup of tea and watch it fall from the warmth and safety of our living room...

It's my penultimate Friday with my current employer. My thoughts turn to the friends I have made and the trinkets I have gathered over the years to make my desk seem a better place on those tough days we all know we have. These paper clips have never been used. A present from my favourite 4 year old and my best friends daughter they will definately be coming with me to my new job. I love them! x

The frosty weather is back, and so are the winter woolies...

For ten years now I have worked for the same employer. For the past two years these gorgeous chimney pots have been my view out of the window. In two weeks time I leave my job and how I will miss those familiar sights and sounds.

Whilst we all brace ourselves for some frosty weather, our little bromliad thrives by soaking up the winter sun and the warmth of our central heating.

This weekend saw the start of our search for our new home. We saw the new, the old, the cared for and the not so cared for. Although a couple of good finds were made nothing felt just right. Our ideal home is out there and we're not asking for much. Maybe you've seen it ...
